Biography

I was born in Birmingham, Ala., and have lived in Oneonta, Ala. my entire life. I’ve always been quite the Energizer Bunny growing up. Whether it was playing basketball, running track, leading the squad as head cheerleader or serving four years as secretary of my class, I learned responsibility, time management and leadership through every opportunity.

This continued through college and I’ve stretched myself by remaining out of my comfort zone. Luckily, I was blessed and chosen to be an ambassador as an Auburn University Cheerleader. In the past four years of cheering, I’ve completed over 300 hours in appearances throughout the community. I’ve chosen to use this opportunity to become an example that others hope to follow.

Ironically, cheerleading has given me more experience in my major, public relations, than any internship or class could provide. Whether it’s coordinating or speaking at events, working with others or volunteering to make a difference, I’ve learned the most important tool a PR specialist should know is how to relate and listen to your public.

Though I have a busy lifestyle, school has always remained at the forefront. Three of my five years in college I’ve remained on the “Dean’s List.” I’m disciplined, driven and a hard worker.

From my sparkling personality to my southern drawl, I hope to never become a face forgotten. My motto has always been, “One who walks in another’s tracks leaves no footprints.”
